Welcome 2009 With a New Book!

Check out one of our Hottest New Books!

Green's prose is astounding-from hilarious...to devastating observation and truths. The mystery of Margo...is fascinating, cleverly constructed, and profoundly moving. --School Library Journal, starred review

Green...delivers once again with this satisfying, crowd-pleasing look at a complex, smart boy and the way he loves. Genuine--and genuinely funny--dialogue...mystery...and delightful secondary characters. A winning combination. --Kirkus Reviews

New Books!

Libraries are always growing and changing, finding how to incorporate the newest with the best of the past. We purchase new fiction titles, but keep the 'good, old classics' so that everyone has a chance to read them. Information changes so quickly that we strive to keep up, providing not only print books, but online resources to stay current. Newspapers and magazines can be accessed through the database tab on the Library page.

Every month we create a list of book titles that we have purchased for the Library, which is always by the 'New Books' displays in the Library. Stop in, take a look at the list and check out any that sound interesting. Here are a few of the new books:

The Snowball: Warren Buffett and the Business of Life

Sarah Palin: a New Kind of Leader

Brisingr by Christopher Paolini

Breaking Dawn

I just finished Breaking Dawn and thought it was a great story and wrap-up for the series! I do think it was a little long on the dialogue, but the story kept moving along. I'm not going to give anything away, but I will say that Stephanie Meyer really keeps those pages turning, ties up an amazing number of loose ends, plus leaves room for more story even though she says this is the last book of the series. I know that she is working on a book right now that tells the story from Edward's point of view, so there will be more from the characters!

What did you think of Breaking Dawn?
